A man was arrested for his ninth DWI after almost colliding with squad car on Saturday.

The 39-year-old has been charged with a felony drunken driving charge for his ninth offense and a misdemeanor of operating a vehicle after revocation. The man was stopped by police as an officer was patrolling the area noticed him driving slower than the posted speed limit.

The officer tried to pass the vehicle and was almost hit by the man. After the vehicle crossed the center line the police pulled him over and noticed that his eyes were bloodshot and watery.

The man’s first drunken driving charge was in 1992 and his most recent until now was in 1999. A $1,000 bond was put in place for the man and part of the bond states that he cannot enter bars or taverns and cannot drink alcohol.
