Passengers in antique car injured in two-car accident

This past Sunday, two people riding in an antique car were critically injured after colliding with another vehicle in Shawano County.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department reported that the driver of the antique car, 86-year old Herbert Dargel of Lime Ridge, pulled out from a stop sign on Shawano County Q  and crashed into a pickup truck on Wisconsin 29.  Dargel was driving with 83-year old Wilma Dargel at the time of the accident.  The antique car Herbert and Wilma were in did not have seat belts.  The two were taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup truck, 52-year old Bambi VandenHeuvel of De Pere, was taken to a Shawano hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
