Kenosha teen killed in single-car accident

According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department, a 16-year-old Kenosha girl was killed last week in a speeding related one-vehicle crash.

It was around 1:16 AM Sunday police responded to reports of a car crash at the 3500 block of Taylor Avenue, at Elm Tree Court.

The 16-year-old Kenosha teenage girl was killed in the crash and the 18-year-old male driver she was with was critically injured. Both were extricated by the South Shore rescue unit.

The male was taken to Froedtert Hostpial in Wauwatosa where he remains.

The Sheriff’s Department believes speeding was responsible for the accident and have not yet determined if alcohol was involved.
