2 dead, 1 injured after single-vehicle accident

Two men died and one woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in St. Croix Falls on Saturday night.

According to reports, a 32-year-old man was driving a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria with a 44-year-old man in the passenger seat and a 24-year-old woman in the backseat. The car was traveling westbound when the driver lost control, drove into a ditch, and hit multiple trees before stopping.

Both the 32- and 44-year-old men died on the scene of the accident. The 24-year-old woman was seriously injured and taken to the hospital where she is currently in stable condition. While police investigations into the accident are still underway, initial reports have indicated that alcohol and speed were factors in the accident.
