4 injured in car accident caused by speeding driver

Four people were injured in a car accident that happened over the weekend in Racine. The accident involved three cars, including a parked car.

A 21-year-old man was driving an Oldsmobile Cutlass at 50 miles per hour down Douglass Avenue when he struck a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 29-year-old woman, that was pulling out of the parking lot of a pizza restaurant. The Malibu then traveled fifty feet across the road into a different parking lot, where it hit a car that was parked.

The 29-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital. The driver of the Cutlass, as well as his two passengers, were also injured and taken to local hospitals. No citations have been issued in the accident, as investigations are still ongoing.
