Lake Geneva man killed in accident involving dump truck

A 37-year-old man from Lake Geneva was killed recently in a 2-vehicle accident with a dump truck that occurred in Racine County.

At around 8:43 a.m., a dump truck was traveling on County Highway D when he swerved and slowed down in order to avoid hitting a wild turkey that was walking across the road. The 37-year-old man was driving a 2002 Saturn and ran into the back of the truck, hitting its rear axle.

The man died at the scene of the accident, while the driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries. The accident is still being investigated by police in Racine County.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with the friends and family of the man who died in this accident.
