Man who killed 2 nuns gets long prison sentence

A Florida man, who killed 2 nuns and injured another in a drunk driving accident, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The 60 year-old man pleaded guilty to two counts of intoxicated manslaughter .

The accident happened in 2009 when the driver drove his car head-on with the vehicle driven by the nuns. His blood alcohol level was .228, almost three times over the legal limit. After his prison sentence, he will also have 15 years probation. If he violates his probation, he could face another 15 years in prison. He must abstain from alcohol during probation and give lectures at a school or church about the dangers of alcohol abuse.

Both of the nuns who died were in their 80s and previously taught in Wisconsin.
