Man receives 4th DWI conviction

A 37 year-old man plead guilty this week to his fourth drunk driving conviction after he was arrested in October.

The man was pulled over after he rear-ended a police car at a stop light on Bridge Street. The officer found empty beer cans and an uncased rifle in the suspect’s back seat. Further investigation lead to the discovery of uncased bows and arrows. He is facing charges of illegal firearm possession by a felon.

Preliminary breathalyzer tests revealed that the man had a 0.132 blood alcohol content, over the legal limit of 0.08. However, due to his prior convictions he cannot have a blood alcohol content higher than 0.04.
