Man injured by wrong-way driver

According to Wisconsin State Patrol, a 41 year-old Bloomington, Minnesota man suffered minor injuries Saturday morning when a wrong-way driver slammed into his car on Interstate 94.

St. Croix County and Hammond police officers received reports of a car traveling eastbound in westbound lanes near Hammond at around 2 am. A few minutes after authorities put down tire deflation devices, the 27 year-old wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle.

Officers took the man into custody and he is facing charges of reckless driving, fleeing from police, eluding causing bodily harm, driving without a valid license, driving the wrong way, and endangering safety.
