School van accident injures six students

An accident involving a school-owned van injured all six students on board when it was struck by a pickup truck in Spooner last Wednesday. A teacher was driving the van when it was hit near the entrance ramp of Highway 63 and Green Valley Road.

The van was traveling westbound on Green Valley Road at Highway 63 when a southbound pickup truck collided with it, the New Richmond News reports. The high school students were taken to Spooner Hospital with minor injuries.

Neither driver was hurt in the crash. At this time it has not been confirmed who was at fault. The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
