Franklin man charged with felony DWI

A drunk driving faces felony DWI charges after he was arrested for his fourth offense in less than five years. The 39 year-old Franklin man was pulled over in Greendale last Thursday.

Authorities say the man smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes. Officers conducted field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. His blood alcohol content was later measured at 0.16, double the legal limit.

The Greendale Patch reports that the man has been charged with DWI, driving with a suspended license, and driving with an illegal alcohol concentration. He faces up to six-and-a-half years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
