Teen dies in Wisconsin car accident due to inattentive driving

Authorities found out recently that it may have been inattentive driving that  caused a fatal car accident that took the life of a 17-year-old Campbellsport boy last November 16on Fond du Lac Avenue/Highway 45 near South Hills Golf and Country Club.

Seventeen-year-old Giovanni Clouse was riding with 18-year-old Eden resident Gilberto Castaneda-Bobadilla, who was operating his 2004 Mazda 3 sedan at a 46 to 54 mile-per-hour rate when their vehicle smashed into a large willow tree, the Wisconsin State Patrol accident construction report showed. Bobadilla and another youngster, 17-year-old Alex Schultz, were injured in the accident.

The driver was clearly speeding, as the speed limit along that area is only 40 mph.

The Fond du Lac Police Department is on the process of investigating the incident further even with the completion of the State Patrol report last January and the release of it to the media this June.
