Five people hurt in La Crosse vehicular accident

La Crosse police reported a car accident that transpired at around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24 on Highway 16 in La Crosse, Wisconsin that caused minimal injuries to five people due to one car erupting in flames.

According to the police, a vehicle was heading south on the highway when its driver tried to overtake another car and lost his control over the car, causing the vehicle to go into the northbound side of traffic and hit another car head-on. The vehicle that caused the crash burst into flames after the collision. The car that the driver hit had four passengers when the accident occurred, all of whom were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

The vehicle’s driver was pulled out by a couple of bystanders before the vehicle was engulfed in fire. He was charged with reckless driving causing bodily harm.
