Hughes Township car-ATV collision kills one

One individual died due to a motor vehicular accident involving a car and an all-terrain vehicle on U.S. Highway Route 2 in Bayfield County, Wisconsin Saturday, November 16.

The collision, which occurred at around 5 p.m. on Red Wine Road in Hughes Township, which is located west of Iron River, happened when an eastbound car crashed into an ATV trying to cross Highway 2, officials from the Wisconsin State Patrol reported.

Forty-four-year-old Iron River resident Kenneth Fiebrink, who was driving the ATV at the time of the accident, instantly died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the car and his passenger, both residents of Gogebic County, Michigan suffered from non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Ashland Hospital to receive medical attention.
