Highway 50 single-vehicle accident kills one

Twenty-five-year-old Racine, Wisconsin resident John Punak was killed in a fatal car accident in Kenosha County on Wednesday, January 15. The crash happened on the Highway 50 off-ramp from Interstate 94 when the car smashed into a traffic light post.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department’s Sergeant Bill Beth, it was not yet clear what directly caused the crash as toxicology reports of the event have yet to be released.

Beth said the accident’s cause cannot yet be ascertained and that obvious factors failed to provide an immediate answer in the case, as “the roads were clear and dry, and no other vehicles were involved.”

Losing a loved one is never easy, and our lawyers at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® send our condolences to Punak’s family and friends.
