Family hospitalized by accident with cattle-hauling semi

A road vehicular accident in Eau Galle, Wisconsin occurred between a semi-trailer hauling cattle and an automobile carrying a family on May 23, causing the family to be hospitalized at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

According to preliminary investigations made by police officers at the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, the two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of County Highways B and N at around 11 a.m. Forty-six-year-old Knapp resident Jeffrey Keyes, who was driving the cattle trailer, failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the Chevrolet Impala operated by 35-year-old Elmwood local Bethany Olson. Her two young children, two-year-old Gunner and 14-month-old Emma, were both in the car. Keyes was not harmed in the collision.
