Head-on Walworth County accident killed three

A serious two-car accident claimed the lives of three individuals in Walworth County on the night of September 17, the Gazette Xtra reported.

The Walworth County Coroner’s Office declared 52-year-old Lake Geneva resident Cheryl Porstner, 24-year-old Hebron, Illinois resident Nicholas Helland, and 24-year-old Samuel Walter, also of Hebron, dead at the scene of the accident, which took place at around 8:25 p.m. on County B east of Spring Creek Road.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, both vehicles, a red 2006 Volkswagen Jetta and a black 2008 Honda Civic, sustained front-end damage. One of the vehicles was resting on its roof when the police arrived. Porstner drove alone in the Jetta, while Helland drove Walter as a passenger in the Civic. At the time of the article, it remained uncertain what specific factors contributed to the crash.
