Pewaukee highway closed after rollover accident

A truck rolled over off Interstate 94 in Pewaukee and burst into flames right after 9 a.m. on May 18, according to a CBS 58 article.

Fortunately, the driver was not injured in the accident. Fire crews rushed to the scene of the accident, and the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department reported that police squads temporarily closed both sections of the interstate to traffic because of a propane tank in the trunk they were concerned may cause the fire to spread. A large amount of diesel had also leaked out from the vehicle.

An hour passed before the fire was under control by the authorities, and the westbound lanes of I-94 were once again opened to the public.
