Memorial held to remember teens who died in crash

Friends have gathered to host a memorial event for teenagers who were killed in a vehicular accident at around 2:13 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7 in Watertown, Wisconsin. One of the deceased was a current student at Watertown High School.

Two seventeen-year-old males were killed in the collision, which occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree while attempting to flee a police officer. The vehicle had been stopped at around 1:57 a.m. Three other passengers in the vehicle, all minor females, were injured in the collision.

Watertown High School principal William Loss, in a written letter, told parents and students that counseling services were to be provided at the school on Thursday, October 8 between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the WHS Library. He also encouraged teachers, parents, and student to reach out to the school’s Student Services Office in order to obtain information in grief counseling and resources on coping with death.
