Collision between school bus and car injures four

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin has reported that a collision between a car and a school bus occurred on Tuesday, January 5 on Highway 14 in Rock County’s Center Township. The accident resulted in three students aboard the bus sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the vehicle being taken to the hospital in critical condition.

According to police reports, officers found the car involved in the accident lodged underneath the rear of the bus. The collision apparently occurred as the bus was slowing to let students exit.

Two of the student passengers who sustained minor wounds were taken to a hospital in Janesville.

The highway was temporarily closed to traffic in both directions after the incident, and no citations have been issued at this time.
