Delafield crash kills preschool teacher

A accident involving a singe vehicle happened at around 12:00 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, February 7 near Milwaukee Street and Garrison Court in Delafield, Wisconsin has resulted in the death of one individual. The victim was identified as 69-year-old Janet Turnock, a resident of Delafield who lived on Fieldstone Road. Turnock worked as a teacher at Kettle Moraine Preschool and has been described as an active community volunteer by her friends and family.

According to preliminary investigations, Turnock had been the passenger in a vehicle that lost control on Milwaukee Street. The driver was unable to regain control before the vehicle crashed into a tree on the north side of the street, west of Garrison Court. The vehicle’s driver has not yet been publicly identified by authorities.

State and city police officials are currently investigating the accident to find out what factors of conditions may have contributed to the vehicle losing control.
