Columbia County two-vehicle collision kills two

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has reported that two individuals lost their lives in a two-vehicle collision on Monday, May 30 along Highway 33 at Saddle Ridge East in Fort Winnebago.

The victims, who were identified as 24-year-old Pardeeville resident Adam Chester and 24-year-old Baraboo resident Jacob Bachman, were driver and passenger, respectively, in one of the vehicles involved in the crash. They were declared dead at the scene of the accident. Two people in the other vehicle were injured and were transported to area hospitals to receive medical attention for their conditions. Police investigators believe that alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors in the crash. A motorcyclist stopped to report the accident as fellow drivers tended to the wounds of the injured victims.

The attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® are saddened to hear of this loss to the Columbia County community. Unexpected accidents are tragic, and our sincerest condolences are with the victims and families affected by this occurrence.
